Description: What Will Happen When Queen Elizabeth II Dies? Subscribe Now goo.gl/Xhcsq8 Operation London Bridge has been a codename that referred to the plan for what will happen in the days after the death of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. The plan was originally devised in the 1960s and is updated several times each year. It involves planning from government departments, the Church of England, Metropolitan Police Service, the British Armed Forces, the media, the Royal Parks, London boroughs, the Greater London Authority, and Transport for London. Some critical decisions relating to the plan were made by the Queen herself, although some can only be made by her successor (the current heir apparent is her son, Charles, Prince of Wales), after her death. As of early 2017, the phrase "London Bridge is down" was expected to be used to communicate the death of the Queen to the prime minister of the United Kingdom and key personnel, setting the plan into motion. The codename Operation London Bridge primarily refers to events that would take place in the United Kingdom. In addition to the United Kingdom, other Commonwealth realms where Elizabeth II acts as a monarch have developed their own plans for what will happen in the days after her death. These corresponding plans would run concurrently with Operation London Bridge. Queen Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God Queen of this Realm and of Her other Realms and Territories, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith, is not going to live forever. Since ascending to the throne in 1952, the monarch has seen 13 prime ministers serve Britain and lived through another 13 US presidents. She's now 92. At some point — not for many years yet, we hope — Queen Elizabeth II's reign will come to an end. But what happens then? For at least 12 days — between her passing, the funeral, and beyond — Britain will grind to a halt. The chaos will cost the UK economy billions in lost earnings. The stock markets and banks are likely to close. And both the funeral and the subsequent coronation will become formal national holidays, each with an estimated economic hit to the gross domestic product of £1.2 billion to £6 billion ($1.6 billion to $7.9 billion), to say nothing of organizational costs. But to focus on the financial disruption doesn't begin to describe the sheer magnitude of the queen's death. It will be an event, unlike anything Britain has seen since the end of World War II. There will be trivial disruptions — the BBC will cancel all comedy shows, for example — and jarring cultural changes. Prince Charles may change his name, and the words of the national anthem will be changed too. The British Commonwealth might even unravel completely. ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ Follow and Like Me ☀ Twitter : twitter.com/iarslanpk ☀ Facebook: facebook.com/iarslanpk ☀ Instagram: instagram.com/iarslanpk ☀ Visit Our Website sabparho.com ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ☀ If you found this video valuable, give it a like 👍 . ☀ If you know someone who needs to watch it, share it ↪️. ☀ Leave a comment below with your thoughts ✍. ☀ Add it to a playlist if you want to watch it later 🔄.
